Regional Flavours is jam-packed with cool things to see, do and eat – there’s demonstrations, pop-up eateries, live music and more. To get a handle on the event (and work out what you want to experience), check out these venue summaries. They’ll equip you with an insider’s knowledge in an instant.


Forget the screen: it’s time to take the stage! Catch your favourite celebrity chefs up close at Regional Flavours’ Main Stage. Set in South Bank’s Piazza, the Main Stage will host scores of sizzling shows with the weekend’s starring chefs.

Take a seat as Matt Preston, Miguel Maestre, Poh Ling Yeow and other special guests walk you through their recipes, share some tasty tidbits, and help you start cooking like a pro.

Prepare to work up a pre-feast appetite – all shows and demonstrations at the Regional Flavours Main Stage are completely free! Please note that while bookings are not required, we recommend arriving early to secure your seat.


The way to the heart is through the stomach, after all – and you’ll find the heart of Regional Flavours at the iconic Marketplace, a market unlike any other in Brisbane.

Make sure you amp up that appetite beforehand! 80+ stalls will assemble on South Bank’s Little Stanley Street, packed with assortments of cheese, wine, chocolate, fruit, herbs, pasta, and plenty more.

The Marketplace will highlight 13 different growing regions throughout Queensland over Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July from 10am – 5pm. Set aside the whole weekend – you’ll need plenty of time to investigate! To see what’s on offer in the Marketplace, check out the stallholder guide.


More than it’s there to be seen, heard, or explored, Regional Flavours exists to be tasted!

In recognition of the weekend’s greatest talents (the delectable morsels of regional food) South Bank’s Little Stanley Street Lawns will play host to Queensland Taste, an area dedicated to sampling, savouring, and devouring.

The zone is made up of a tasting stage, market stalls, and City Sounds, the area’s live music stage. All areas of Queensland Taste are open from 10am – 5pm over the Regional Flavours weekend.

Are you on the prowl for the region’s best cuts of meat? We’re declaring open season on beef, lamb, and beer at The Hunting Club, Regional Flavours’ very own pop-up bar and bistro.

Opening on Friday 14 July from 4pm – 11pm for an early start to the weekend’s festivities, The Hunting Club is a bucket list stop for all self-confessed carnivores.

You’ll find these hunting grounds on the Parklands’ Little Stanley Street Lawns, rolling out a bar, bistro, and stage reserved for all things meat and beer. From 10am – 11pm on Saturday 15 July and from 10am – 8pm on Sunday 16 July, the bar and bistro will be serving up bubbly brews, bites, and hearty meals as special guests take the stage.

For eons street food has sated the appetites of hungry wanderers and the eatSouthBank Street Stalls are no different.

Lined along Little Stanley Street and the Little Stanley Street Lawn, the stalls will tout cool drinks and ready-to-eat meals, snacks and desserts, all featuring fresh, Queensland produce.

The stalls will be open from 10am-5pm on both days of Regional Flavours – to whet your appetite, keep an eye out for their menus, which are coming soon.


With Queensland’s top tastes making waves all weekend, Regional Flavours wouldn’t be complete without a few Brisbane stars!

Enter River Quay presented by eatSouthBank – where South Bank’s very own River Quay restaurants (Aquitaine, Popolo Italian Kitchen and Bar, Stokehouse Q, River Quay Fish and The Jetty) shine. They’ll be reeling in foodies all weekend long with their pop-up stalls selling food, wine and cocktails – head along to dine, relax and enjoy Brisbane’s most stylish outdoor atmosphere.

And if good vibes is what you want, don’t miss River Quay’s music stage – it will be home to live, local music performances all weekend long, right by the river’s edge. River Quay presented by eatSouthBank is open from 10am – 6pm during Regional Flavours weekend.


Want the green light to kick back and relax with some of Queensland’s yummiest food? Sweep hunger under the rug with the assortment of Lockyer Valley delights at The Picnic Patch.

You can find this sunny picnic spot on the Little Stanley Street Lawns from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July, boasting market stalls with some of the region’s top producers and plenty of room for your scenic food stop.

More Lockyer Valley Flavours can be found at their dedicated pop-up food stall, with fresh grab-n-go eats available throughout the weekend. Fair warning: deciding what you want won’t be a picnic!


Ready for the icing on the cake? South Bank’s Picnic Island Green is about to become a haven of all things sweet!

Stop by Sweet Escape from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July for top-tier sugary treats. Choc full of dessert-dedicated stalls, a coffee cart, and its very own cooking stage, this is a spot every sweet tooth in Queensland will want to take a bite from.

Don’t forget to check out the sweet line-up of pastry chefs and industry experts set to hop on stage! Learn the art of dessert-making (and devouring) with a full weekend of demonstrations at the Sweet Escape stage, including several devoted entirely to our lifeblood – coffee. No bookings are required to attend the presentations.


Planning a weekend packed with family fun? Regional Flavours doesn’t just cater to the big appetites!

Make a visit to Little Farmers Day Out, a spot reserved for the littlest diners at Regional Flavours. Set at South Bank’s Central Cafes and Epicurious Garden, this fun-filled spot will have farm-themed activities organised for little ones and families looking to escape the crowds.

Whether you’re star-struck by our special guests or love the recipes they’re repping, our book signing area is an exclusive chance to meet your favourite celebrity chefs up close!

Following each demonstration on the Main Stage, your celebrity presenter will move to the book signing area in the South Bank Piazza for a meet-and-greet with the audience.
